DONE ‘A new way of paying for healthcare’

Dis-Chem and Capitec announced a new partnership, “set to revolutionise how consumers access and pay for healthcare”, reported Business Day (13 October 2025).
Dis-Chem’s Better Rewards programme will be launched on 21 October. Capitec will simultaneously launch a new digital card on the Capitec app.
This Dis-Chem -Capitec healthcare partnership will grant Dis-Chem access to the Capitec’s customer base and Capitec clients will enjoy an additional 5% off purchases, giving them a 15% instant discount at the till across more than 140 leading brands; simply by paying with their Capitec card. Clients will also receive cashback rewards and tailored health benefits for engaging in health-related actions, such as clinic consultations or refilling chronic medication prescriptions.
