In a recent submission to the Council of Medical Schemes (CMS) Khandani Msibi, executive chairperson of 3Sixty Global Solutions Group, claims a deliberate campaign was mounted to dismantle one of the last remaining black‑owned administrators in SA’s multibillion‑rand medical scheme industry.
According to Msibi, Sizwe Hosmed’s, statutory manager Joe Seloane ‘engineered’ circumstances to force a merger favourable to KeyHealth medical scheme in which Seloane apparently has business interests.
“Msibi demands the immediate removal of Mpakati and warns that if the CMS succeeds in destroying Sizwe Hosmed, it would earn the ‘dubious honour’ of being seen as destroyers of black business in the sector.
“The CMS chairperson Musa Gumede dismissed Msibi’s claims, noting that the issues were aired in Court when the CMS applied for curatorship and that Msibi did not participate in that process, labelling his current comments as “innuendo without any basis”.
